Dday
On the occasion of the commemoration of Dday ( 70th anniversary ) , we rebuilt the artificial harbor at Arromanches . Challenge of technical and engineering , it was one of the keystones of the victory of the allies.
A team of 15 people worked for 10 months on this project, which was presented in a documentary and a CAVE system mounted on the beach of Ouistreham during the commemorations. Subsequently , we delivered a tactile table for sea museum in Le Havre. Due to the large amount of vehicles and characters, we created many LOD’s models.
The main challenge for our engineers was to recreate a procedural tidal system, keeping the animated roadways floating on the sea, and ensuring that vehicles are well bonded on these roads when they move on.
I supervised the production of vehicles and some boats , lighting, and participated in the polish phase of the project ended.
