To mark the Saut Hermès held at the Grand Palais in Paris from 14 to 16 March 2014 and is broadcast live on Eurosport, Dassault Systèmes and international rider Michel Robert teamed up to imagine a 3D experience of a new genre for television.
This application will help explain in real time and through the power of interactivity and 3D visualization all the subtleties of jumping.
The Grand Palais was modeled in 3D. Using a touch screen and interacting with different camera views , Michel Robert guide the virtual horse and rider through the 3D environment in order to present the course of each event.
A team of 10 worked on this project, I was in charge of lightning, final integration and fine tunning. Last but not least, I build up the workflow that would allow us to create the obstacles and parcours within one day. These are kept secret until the very last moments !
